Training Philosophy
Our Philosophy
The Kim Robins Pilates Teacher Training Program is designed for people who want to become confident, thoughtful, and highly skilled Pilates teachers. Our training offers an inclusive, creative, and supportive learning environment, giving you the tools you need to thrive in the industry—not just pass a test.
Unlike programs that focus solely on memorizing a set order of exercises, our curriculum teaches you to understand movement from the inside out. You’ll learn the why behind every exercise, how to layer movements intelligently, and how to adapt to the specific needs, histories, and limitations of real clients.
Clear verbal cueing and effective hands-on techniques are essential skills for any great teacher, and we devote meaningful time to developing both.

Anatomy is another core pillar of our program. A strong understanding of how the body functions allows you to design safe, supportive, and transformative sessions. To help you truly feel and see the body, we incorporate anatomical clay sculpture lessons—an immersive, hands-on way to learn anatomy that brings the material to life.
We also prepare you for the realities of beginning your teaching career. Working with brand-new clients can feel overwhelming, so we set aside time to teach you how to lead a comprehensive “Discovery Session”—a structured, confidence-building way to welcome new clients, assess their needs, and begin meaningful work together.
If you’re looking for a program that’s thoughtful, personal, and deeply rooted in quality movement education, this training will give you the skills—and the confidence—to start your journey as a Pilates teacher with clarity and purpose.
